Hire Resolve’s client, a leading organisation in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their dynamic finance team permanently.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who have completed their SAICA articles and want to apply their technical skills in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

Conduct monthly and annual financial close activities and reconciliations.

Maintain accurate and compliant financial records aligned with IFRS and internal standards.

Review supplier reconciliations and oversee payment releases.

Process forex payments and ensure proper documentation.

Prepare and submit statutory returns (e.g., VAT201, EMP201).

Assist with internal and external audits and financial assessments.

Support cash flow management and financial forecasting.

Develop and maintain financial tracking spreadsheets and databases.

Ensure adherence to all reporting and submission deadlines.

Requirements:
Currently Living In Cape Town (NB)
Completed SAICA articles (essential)

CA(SA) qualification preferred, though Professional Accountant AGA(SA) will also be considered

Candidates who have just completed their articles are encouraged to apply

3+ years’ experience in an accounting role (post-articles experience advantageous)

Strong proficiency in MS Excel (pivots, vlookups, xlookups)

Experience with ERP systems (Syspro preferred)

Knowledge of IFRS and IFRS for SMEs advantageous

Excellent communication, administrative, and time management skills

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability
