Description

A well-established textile manufacturing company in Umbilo, Durban seeks to employ a mature and experienced Technician to join our textile
manufacturing team. The successful candidate will lead a team to troubleshoot,
repair, and maintain mechanical and electronic machinery, ensuring minimal
production downtime with good communication skills to interact with factory staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair faults on production machinery (mechanical/electronic).

Lead and direct a team of maintenance staff.

Perform routine maintenance to prevent equipment breakdowns.

Minimize production delays and optimize machinery efficiency.

Collaborate with production teams to meet output targets.

Ensure safety protocols are followed.

Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/ElectroMechanical Engineering or related field.

8+ years' experience in textile manufacturing maintenance.

Leadership experience.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Physically fit and in excellent health

Required to work after hours should the need arise

Be in possession of a valid driver’s license

Be able to work on Microsoft Office

Fluent in English and/or bi-lingual
